Cross-country skiing in the winter wonderland

Inari-Saariselkä area is known for the excellent cross-country ski tracks, Europe’s northernmost ski resort and snow-guaranteed winters with a long ski season.

The cross-country skiing season in northern Lapland pampers the skier, as skiing is often possible from October to May. Within the Saariselkä area alone, there are 200 kilometres of well-maintained and partly illuminated cross-country skiing tracks. A map of the ski trails is available online at infogis.fi/saariselka. The winding fell terrain and national parks facilitate a variety of skiing challenges, more than enough for each day of your holiday.
