The journey begins from Tankapirtti and ends at the Sámi village of Purnumukka. We drive you and the gear to the starting point and pick up after 4,5 hours from the finishing point. River is easy to paddle and there is no rapids, beginners and families can manage this river easily eventough we recommend that you have some experience with canoeing.
The price is including a canoe for 2 persons, you can also have an extra seat for small children (4-12 years old) + transfers. You will also get lifevests, paddles, bailer, some robe and waterproof barrels for your own gear.
Reserve some water/other drink and snack (or even light lunch) and have a nice day with canoeing in the wilderness of Lapland!
Know before you go
Please note that this trip is self guided and not including guide on the river. We are offering a map, transfers to starting point (Tankapirtti) and pick up from the village of Purnumukka. Usually canoe trip takes 4,5 hours. First we meet at our office in Saariselkä (addres Lutontie 3) and you will get gear, price is not including transfers from your hotel/cabin/etc to our office.
We have limited number of rubber boots and rain clothing if needed otherwise please bring your own outdoor clothing.
