Saariselkä is a particularly popular hiking destination thanks to the easily traversable fell terrain, the untouched natural environmental and a dense network of wilderness refuges and cabins that can be hired out for the day or night.
Saariselkä is a venue for a multitude of intriguing events. The Kaamosjazz in November and the Tunturi Blues in January liven up the area with music and concerts.
