22.11.2017 / 20:00 - 23:59 / Kalastajan Majatalo, Karigasniemi

Departure to the expedition from Fishermen’s (Kalastajan Majatalo) backyard at 20.00 p.m. and return to the same place. Transportation takes place by car. We will enjoy the campfire and snacks (hot drink and small food) while waiting for the Northern Lights to appear. Reservations to be made by Saturday 20.11.2017.

Karigasniemi (Gáregasnjárga in north Saami language) is the meeting point of Saami, Finnish and Norwegian languages and cultures. Karigasniemi is located in Utsjoki municipality on the border of Finland and Norway. In the village and its surrounding areas are living some 500 inhabitants. It is a perfect place to spot Aurora as the village has practically no light pollution. On a dark, cloudless night, you might just see this wondrous light phenomenon in the sky. During the winter, the Northern Lights dance in the sky on as many as three nights out of four.

PRICE 80€/hlö
