The Sami Museum and Nature Center Siida provides a window into the Sami culture and the Nordic countryside.
Located in the heart of the village of Inari, the museum offers visitors a host of stimulating experiences as well as in-depth knowledge of the Sami culture and the Arctic countryside. The museum is an archive of the spiritual and material culture of the Finnish Sami people, which is shared through exhibitions and publications.
The key theme of the museum is the promotion of the Sami identity and cultural pride. During the summer season, the museum features an additional outdoor museum area.
Siida is a collaboration between the National Museum of the Finnish Sami People and the Northern Lapland Nature Centre. The cosy Sarrit restaurant is located on the 2nd floor of Siida.
